You tend to get alot of heat when you don't deliver what you say you will deliver. Sony talked alot of smack and now they are eating their words. I think the final straw was the price of the system. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying it wasn't worth it. It's just quite a bit to pay for a "game console" with very little games (until now).

but out of the games I have played, I would give it to Bioshock. The whole experience in that game from surroundings, music, and game play was pretty awesome.
I can't remember a year though where there have been so many good games out at the same time. It's gonna be a tough choice for the GOTY committee.
it was just one of those things that came with the new system. But it does add a little fun to the games you play. I do find myself doing a little extra sometimes to get those elusive achievements. :-)

Look at the Wii and DS. Both have inferior processing power compared to the competitors, but have been bought and enjoyed by millions.
I hope the PS3 does show us something TOTALLY new (haven't seen it yet). That just leads Microsoft to make an even better system in a couple of years.
Personally the 360 is my system of choice due to the games it has, but I don't knock anybody for getting a PS3. They are both good.

Game of the year for me is Bioshock.
It's one of the best games to ever grace a console. For the PS3 only fans, you'll know what I mean when it comes to your console.
Believe me, no one wants to be playing a 10 year old console. They just can't afford the new one.
I buy the console I want on "day one", so I get all 5 years out of it. After 5 years I'm ready for the new technology and power of the next console. (maybe quad-core with 3 gigs of ram and a 500gb HD)*fingers crossed* :-)

What's the big deal. My brother and I use to do speed runs on Halo 1 on easy just for the hell of it. We'll probably do it on this one too. Sorry that everyone isn't super sparton and won't lower themselves to play it on easy! Give me a break.
By the way, I've already beat it on Legendary. It's really not that big of a deal.
